INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Caitlin Clark made sure to witness the NBA Finals firsthand, taking a spot along the baseline to support the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening.
The WNBA sensation sported a yellow shirt featuring the iconic phrase “In 49 other states it’s just basketball. But this is Indiana,” paired with a finals logo. She watched the game alongside her Indiana Fever teammates, Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard, positioned near the Pacers’ bench.
The Pacers faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, marking the franchise’s first home game in the championship series since the year 2000.
Among the distinguished former basketball players present were Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson and Reggie Miller, who were seated close to the action, joined by fellow former Pacers Mark Jackson, Dale Davis, and others. Edgerrin James, a former standout for the Indianapolis Colts, was also in attendance.

The game also attracted a number of auto racing legends, including this year’s Indianapolis 500 champion, Alex Palou, who arrived in a pace car from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with the vehicle illuminated in gold as a tribute to the Pacers.
Throughout this playoff season, Clark and the Fever have frequently attended Pacers games when their schedules permit. The Fever’s next matchup is set for Saturday at home against the reigning WNBA champions, the New York Liberty. Clark has been recovering from a thigh injury but may be ready to return to action by Saturday.
