Pacers Take Command in NBA Finals with Game 3 Win, Haliburton Shines Again

As the series shifted to Indianapolis, the Pacers embraced the backing of their fans during their first NBA Finals appearance in a quarter of a century, securing a 116-107 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. They now lead the series 2-1.

Tyrese Haliburton came close to achieving a triple-double once more, finishing the game with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists. Leading the scoring for the team was Bennedict Mathurin, who netted 27 points.

“Numerous players contributed tonight. We had individuals making play after play. Our bench performed exceptionally well,” Indiana’s star player remarked following their Game 3 triumph in the NBA Finals.

“This reflects the type of team we are. Everyone needs to be prepared. Scoring responsibilities won’t always fall to the same individuals. This is how we have to progress,” head coach Rick Carlisle added.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder, three players made significant contributions: Jalen Williams with 26 points and 6 rebounds, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who posted 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Chet Holmgren who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday night at 02:30 CET, presenting the Indiana Pacers with the opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 lead and draw closer to securing their first-ever NBA Championship.
