Pacers Reclaim Future Asset, Trade Mojave King and 2025 Draft Pick to Pelicans

The Indiana Pacers have successfully retrieved their 2026 draft pick by trading away their 2025 pick to the New Orleans Pelicans.

In this transaction, the Pacers will send their No. 23 selection in the 2025 NBA Draft along with the rights to Mojave King—who was acquired by the Pacers during the 2023 Draft—to reclaim their own first-round pick in 2026, which the Pelicans had obtained earlier.

We have regained ownership of our 2026 first-round draft pick from the New Orleans Pelicans, a pick that was originally passed on to Toronto as part of the trade that brought Pascal Siakam to Indiana, in exchange for our 23rd overall selection in the 2025 draft and the rights to guard Mojave King.

The Pacers obtained King in a trade with the Lakers on Draft night in 2023.

During the 2023-24 season, King played for the Indiana Mad Ants, averaging 3.9 points per game. He previously starred for the NBA G League Ignite and was selected as the 47th pick overall in the 2023 NBA Draft. Hailing from New Zealand, he spent the previous season with the New Zealand Breakers, averaging 8.5 points and 1.9 rebounds over 17 games.

The Pacers’ 2026 pick was transferred to the Raptors last season in the deal that brought Brandon Ingram from New Orleans to Toronto. Indiana had initially sent this pick to Toronto in a 2024 trade that enabled them to acquire All-Star forward Pascal Siakam.
