For the first time since 2016, the NBA Championship will be decided in a Game 7.
In Game 6, the Indiana Pacers showcased their dominance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on their home court, pulling ahead in the second quarter with a stunning 36-17 surge.
With a lead that expanded to 31 points at one stage, the Pacers secured a 108-91 victory, bolstered by Obi Toppin, who led the team with 20 points off the bench.
Pascal Siakam contributed with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton, who chose to play after dealing with a calf injury from Game 5, added 14 points and 5 assists to the effort.
“We aimed to defend our home court. We couldn’t bear the thought of seeing them celebrate a championship here. With our backs against the wall, we stepped up. It was a complete team effort,” he remarked.
Now, Oklahoma City will host Game 7, where Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 21 points for the Thunder.
