Kevin Durant is on his way to the Houston Rockets in a significant trade deal set to be completed on July 6, as reported by ESPN.
The Phoenix Suns will acquire Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th overall pick from this year’s draft, and five second-round selections in exchange.
Durant will be joining a promising Rockets squad under the leadership of coach Ime Udoka, alongside All-Star center Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and Fred VanVleet. Houston was among Durant’s favored locations, along with Miami and San Antonio.
The 37-year-old forward recorded an average of 26.6 points last season and remains one of the NBA’s most efficient scorers, achieving better than 50% shooting accuracy and nearly 41% from beyond the arc.
