Guerschon Yabusele Signs Two-Year Deal with Knicks, Embarking on NBA Comeback After Standout Olympic Performance

Guerschon Yabusele, a free agent center, has reached an agreement with the New York Knicks on a two-year contract valued at $12 million, which includes a player option, according to Shams Charania.

This signing marks another chapter in the unique career of the 16th overall pick from the 2016 draft, who spent a year playing in China before joining the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2017 for two seasons.

He returned to China in 2019, later moved to his native France to play for ASVEL, and ultimately made a mark at Real Madrid, becoming one of the top big men outside of the NBA.

His impressive talent was on full display during the recent Paris Olympics, where he earned a silver medal and stood out, particularly in the final match against Team USA.

Yabusele’s remarkable performances at the 2024 Olympic tournament opened the door for his return to the NBA, allowing him to showcase his abilities with the Philadelphia 76ers and secure a lucrative contract this summer.
