Jock Landale Makes Memorable Move to Memphis: Signs One-Year Deal with Grizzlies After Rockets Release

Jock Landale has signed a one-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, as reported by Shams Charania.

Previously, the experienced center was released by the Houston Rockets prior to the guarantee of his $8 million salary.

The 29-year-old posted averages of 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.9 minutes over 42 games in the last season. He initially inked a four-year, $32 million contract with Houston in 2023, but only the first year was guaranteed.

With Landale’s arrival, Memphis bolsters its frontcourt depth, particularly as rookie Zach Edey is in recovery from ankle surgery.
