Nikola Topić, selected as the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, was sidelined for his entire rookie season due to an injury. However, he has now fully rehabilitated and is ready to compete again.
The Serbian point guard made his first appearance with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the NBA Summer League, showcasing his skills despite the team falling 92–80 to the Memphis Grizzlies.
In his debut for the 2025 NBA champions, the former Crvena Zvezda player tallied 14 points, shooting 4-of-7 from two-point range and 2-of-4 from three-point territory. He also contributed with two assists and two steals in this inaugural match.
This is certainly just the beginning of what looks to be an exciting journey. Although Topić still has challenges ahead, the initial signs suggest a bright future.
