SALT LAKE CITY – In a thrilling matchup at the Jon M. Huntsman Center during the 2025 Salt Lake City Summer League, the Utah Jazz narrowly edged out the Memphis Grizzlies, winning 112-111 on Monday.

The game was a tense exchange, with both teams trading leads until the closing moments. The Grizzlies surged ahead early, leading 35-21 by the end of the first quarter. However, the Jazz responded valiantly, outscoring Memphis 30-22 in the second quarter. While the Grizzlies managed to maintain a competitive pace in the third quarter, it was in the fourth period that Utah turned the tide. With a powerful 15-3 run to kickoff the final quarter, the Jazz seized the advantage and maintained it to the end. This win improved Utah’s record to 2-0 in the Summer League, while Memphis fell to 1-1.

Ace Bailey, the fifth overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, contributed 18 points for the Jazz, matching the performance of Cody Williams. Every starter for Utah scored in double figures, but the standout of the night was Brice Sensabaugh. He showcased an impressive performance, shooting 9 for 14 and finishing with 37 points, including an outstanding 13 for 14 from the free-throw line.

On the Grizzlies’ side, four players reached double-digit scoring, including three who scored 20 points or more. GG Jackson topped the team with 27 points, though he couldn’t convert on the final shot of the game. Cam Spencer and Jaylen Wells both added 23 points each.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday, with the Grizzlies taking on the 76ers and the Jazz facing off against the Thunder.
