NBA center Jonas Valanciunas provided a typically ambiguous response about his future following his recent trip to Greece for medical evaluations with Panathinaikos Athens, even as he has been traded to the Denver Nuggets.
“You can say whatever you want; a lot has already been discussed, and there are various opinions,” Valanciunas remarked during his attendance at the 2025 B8 Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, as reported by 15min.lt. “The speculation is out there, and everyone has shared their viewpoints. The real answers will come once the first game takes place. Then, everything will be clear.”
Speaking about his move to Denver, Valanciunas previously stated, “Once the trade is officially completed, we will devise a plan. The Nuggets will outline their expectations and how they envision things, including medical aspects and other specifics. It’s all contingent upon the team.”
Valanciunas currently has a verbal agreement for a multiyear contract with Panathinaikos while still being under contract with the NBA. He has been traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Nuggets, though the deal has yet to be officially confirmed.
