After facing challenges during his initial months in the NBA—the most competitive league globally—following his selection as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, Zaccharie Risacher demonstrated considerable improvement as his rookie season progressed.
He finished the 2024-25 season with averages of 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Atlanta Hawks, notably scoring 15.1 points per game over his last ten games.
During the NBA Summer League, Atlanta’s General Manager noted the French prospect’s recent advancements. “We are extremely pleased with Zacch and his progress,” stated Onsi Saleh.
“He has made great strides in his physical development, especially considering his age. When I saw him in the summer, he appeared to have gained some muscle,” he added, as reported by Kevin Chouinard.
Additionally, the former JL Bourg-en-Bresse standout has been selected for France’s 18-man provisional roster ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
This will mark Zaccharie Risacher’s first significant international competition with the senior national team, after previously competing at the youth level in the U16 European Challengers, U17, and U19 World Cups.
