The Milwaukee Bucks are poised to re-sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo if his younger brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo, decides to remain with the franchise, as reported by Marc Stein.
Stein stated, “The Bucks… are likely to bring back Thanasis if their star player continues his journey in Milwaukee.”
In May, there were rumors suggesting that Giannis might explore various opportunities during the offseason, which could include the chance to play for a different team. Speculation has been rife regarding the Bucks’ intentions, particularly whether they might trade their marquee player. However, Giannis recently indicated that he would “probably” continue with the Bucks.
Thanasis is set to return for the upcoming season after successfully rehabilitating from Achilles tendon surgery that he had in May 2024.
After playing with Panathinaikos Athens in the EuroLeague from 2017 to 2019, Thanasis has been a teammate of Giannis at the Bucks, participating in 223 games to date.
