Giannis Antetokounmpo Reaffirms Commitment to Milwaukee Bucks Amid Rumors, Eyes Exciting 2025-26 Season

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks, rumors surrounding his future continue to circulate in the media. Nonetheless, this speculation has not hindered the front office as they prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.

During a Summer League game for NBA 2K26 on Sunday, team president Peter Feigin affirmed the strong and unchanged bond between the star player and the franchise.

“This has been our situation for the past decade,” he remarked. “Giannis cherishes Milwaukee, and Milwaukee cherishes Giannis. We’re in a good position. We feel optimistic about it. It’s business as usual for us.”

He further added, “We take a bit of amusement in everyone else thinking they’re in the know about the latest gossip, but for us, everything is in a good place. Giannis is enjoying his summer, and we can’t wait for the next season to begin.”

In a recent matchup, the Bucks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 106-91, despite Serbian forward Bogoljub Markovic contributing 14 points in 23 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, far from the Summer League in Las Vegas, Giannis has shifted his vacation to Greece. He is also anticipated to play for the Greek national team in EuroBasket 2025, which will be held from August 27 to September 14, before returning to Milwaukee for the preseason in 2025.

The offseason has seen several roster changes, prominently featuring Myles Turner joining the Bucks, along with Cole Anthony and Gary Harris, who will take the places of outgoing players Damian Lillard, Brook Lopez, and Pat Connaughton.
