In a matchup at the Thomas and Mack Center on Wednesday, the Utah Jazz triumphed over the Washington Wizards with a score of 86-76 during the NBA 2K26 Summer League.

While the final score suggests a tight contest, Washington’s late-game surge of 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter made it appear closer than it really was. Prior to that run, Utah had built a commanding lead, ahead by as much as 29 points, and had dominated the second and third quarters with a combined score of 55-29.

The first half featured five ties and six lead changes, but the Jazz secured a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game. Utah struggled with their 3-point shooting, connecting on 30% (11-of-37), yet managed to restrict Washington to only 20% (6-of-30). Additionally, the Jazz excelled on the boards, out-rebounding the Wizards 46-36, and capitalized on turnovers, scoring 27 points in that category compared to Washington’s 15.

For the Jazz (1-3), Cody Williams was the standout performer, contributing 23 points along with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Isaiah Collier added 17 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals to the effort. Elijah Harkless finished with 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while Max Abmas provided 15 points and five rebounds off the bench.

On the other side, the Wizards (1-3) were led by AJ Johnson, who recorded 25 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Leaky Black contributed a strong all-around performance with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four blocks. Jamir Watkins provided support with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and Dillon Jones was the leading scorer off the bench with 12 points.
