According to Shams Charania from ESPN, Chris Paul is set to join the Los Angeles Clippers.
Having turned 40 in May, Paul is embarking on his 21st season in the NBA, which is expected to be his swan song in the league.
The Clippers are fully committed to pursuing a championship next season, having also brought in Bradley Beal earlier this offseason to bolster their roster alongside James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. This pursuit of a title likely influenced Paul’s decision to choose the Clippers as his next team.
Paul previously played for the Clippers from 2011 to 2017.
During the 2024-25 season, Paul recorded averages of 8.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds over 82 games with the San Antonio Spurs.
