Mirza Teletović Reveals Heartwarming Connection with LeBron James During His Struggles

Former captain of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirza Teletović, reflected on a significant moment in his life when LeBron James extended a helping hand during one of his most challenging times.

In 2015, after experiencing a serious pulmonary embolism, Teletović found himself without a team and faced the daunting reality of finding someone willing to take a risk on him due to his health issues.

“Very few understand the true character of King James,” Teletović shared. “Following my pulmonary embolism, when teams were hesitant to sign me, he reached out to my agent and proposed a contract with Cleveland.”

The two had gone head-to-head on the basketball court, most notably during matches between Teletović’s Brooklyn Nets and LeBron’s Miami Heat.

Teletović’s basketball career began at Sloboda Tuzla, progressed through Europe with teams like Oostende and Baskonia, and culminated in the NBA where he played for the Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and Milwaukee Bucks.

After hanging up his sneakers, he even made a short return to the sport, playing for Turbina Jablanica, the club where everything started for him.
