ESPN Reveals Star-Studded NBA Commentary Team for 2025-26 Season

ESPN has unveiled its extensive lineup of NBA game commentators for the 2025-26 season. Veteran analyst Tim Legler is set to join the network’s premier NBA broadcast team, which features Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Breen, NBA Champion and analyst Richard Jefferson, along with reporter Lisa Salters.

Legler, Breen, Jefferson, and Salters will be on the call for the NBA Finals on ABC, as well as for the Conference Finals, significant first and second-round matchups during the NBA Playoffs, a Christmas Day game, and the weekly NBA Saturday Primetime matchup on ABC. This year marks Legler’s 25th anniversary with ESPN, where he has been an analyst since 2000.

In addition, ESPN has secured a new multi-year deal with Richard Jefferson. After serving as the NBA Finals analyst for the first time in 2025, he joined ESPN as a studio analyst in 2019. Jefferson will keep calling ESPN’s premier NBA games and make selective appearances in the studio.

Furthermore, ESPN has announced a multi-year extension with Doris Burke, another esteemed analyst and Hall of Fame broadcaster. Burke will continue to cover major NBA games on ESPN and ABC, including the NBA Sunday Showcase series. Her responsibilities will encompass a full schedule of games throughout the regular season and the playoffs, primarily alongside play-by-play announcer Dave Pasch. With this agreement, Burke will surpass 35 years at ESPN, having begun her basketball coverage with the network in 1991. She has been part of 17 NBA Finals broadcasts, with six as a game analyst for ABC and ESPN Radio, and 11 as a sideline reporter for ABC.

ESPN had earlier confirmed a contract extension for Lisa Salters. For more information about Salters and the upcoming 2025-26 game schedule for ESPN and ABC, please visit ESPNPressRoom.com.

As ESPN embarks on its 24th consecutive season of premier NBA game coverage, it will once again be supported by a robust and skilled panel of play-by-play announcers, analysts, and sideline reporters. Returning play-by-play voices include Dave Pasch, Ryan Ruocco, and Mark Jones, in addition to Breen. Renowned broadcaster Jay Bilas, a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, and Bob Myers, a two-time NBA Executive of the Year, will rejoin the ranks of game analysts along with Legler, Jefferson, and Burke. Leading the restructured sideline reporting crew will be Salters, with Katie George and Jorge Sedano also part of the team, among others who may be added.

Further details regarding ESPN’s NBA commentators, including game broadcasts on ESPN Radio, will be released shortly.
