RIGA, Latvia (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered an impressive performance, scoring 30 points and securing 17 rebounds, as he propelled Greece to a 92-89 victory over Finland in the bronze medal match at EuroBasket on Sunday.

This marks Greece’s first EuroBasket medal since they clinched bronze in 2009.

“We did it! This could be one of the most significant achievements I’ve had as an athlete,” remarked Antetokounmpo, the star player for the Milwaukee Bucks, who has previously won an NBA championship and earned MVP honors. “While I’ve celebrated an NBA title, there’s nothing quite like representing your national team and the 12 million people who live and breathe this team. This is possibly the greatest achievement of my life.”

This achievement places Greece on the EuroBasket podium for the sixth time, boasting two gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
