Luka Doncic Secures Luxurious $25 Million Mansion in Los Angeles, Formerly Owned by Maria Sharapova

Luka Doncic finalized his acquisition of Maria Sharapova’s former residence in late August, a development affirmed by multiple sources over the weekend.

The lavish mansion, featuring numerous amenities requested by the retired tennis star after demolishing the original structure, was purchased for a price tag of $25 million.

With a recent three-year contract extension signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, the 26-year-old guard has established his roots in the city with his new residence in Manhattan Beach, situated in the southwestern part of Los Angeles. Before his unexpected trade from the Dallas Mavericks, he was in the process of acquiring a $15 million home in Dallas.

In 2018, the Ljubljana-born player was chosen by the Atlanta Hawks as the third overall pick in the NBA draft, only to be traded to the Mavericks shortly thereafter. His impressive run in the league continued as he reached the NBA Finals in 2024, just months prior to being acquired by the Lakers midway through the 2024-25 regular season. Following this major trade, he participated in 33 games, including five during the Playoffs presented by Google, where he averaged 28.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, having previously played 472 games with the Mavericks.

A former prodigy with Real Madrid until the age of 19, Doncic’s resume boasts a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship in 2018, along with season and Final Four MVP titles. He also led the Slovenian senior national team to a gold medal at EuroBasket 2017.
