LeBron James Eyes Future Beyond NBA with Potential New International League Venture

While LeBron James might be gearing up for what could be his final season in the NBA, it doesn’t signal the end of his entire basketball career.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst shared insights suggesting that LeBron could extend his playing days beyond the NBA, potentially in a different championship format. On a recent episode of The Hoop Collective podcast, Windhorst noted, “People keep saying, ‘this could be his last year.’ However, he’s been associated with the idea of participating in other leagues. I can’t say for certain, but if he remains healthy, I don’t foresee LeBron James slowing down anytime soon.”

The term “other league” doesn’t imply that James will relocate to Europe or another international location. The NBA’s leading scorer has been rumored to be collaborating with his long-time business partner, Maverick Carter, to develop a new international league. This summer, the duo met with Misko Raznatovic, the agent for Nikola Jokic and a prominent figure among EuroLeague players, which has only intensified the speculation.

LeBron might be interested in elevating this new league not only from a business perspective but also as an active player.
