Aaron Gordon Enthusiastically Anticipates Thriving Collaboration with Nikola Jokic

Aaron Gordon is recognized as one of the most dependable teammates for Serbian sensation Nikola Jokic at the Denver Nuggets. During an appearance on ESPN’s NBA Today, coinciding with his 30th birthday on Tuesday, the American power forward shared his thoughts on collaborating with the Joker.

“He’s incredible,” he remarked, echoing a sentiment commonly held by Jokic’s teammates. “Having the opportunity to play alongside one of the greatest players, if not the greatest of all time, is something special. The way Joker attracts attention…”

“I believe we have a strong rapport both on and off the court. You’re going to see that continue to develop,” Gordon added as he looked ahead to the 2025-26 season.

In the middle of the 2020-21 season, the San Jose native was traded to the Nuggets from the Orlando Magic. His collaboration with Jokic not only emphasized their championship pursuit during the 2022-23 season but also showcased exciting combinations fueled by the creativity of the three-time NBA Most Valuable Player and Finals MVP in 2023.

With the offseason signings of Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas and Cameron Johnson through trades, a reunion with Bruce Brown, along with further acquisitions of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kessler Edwards, the Nuggets enhanced their championship aspirations by adding depth to their roster for head coach David Adelman.

After spending one season in college at Arizona, Gordon was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Magic, where he quickly emerged as a leader before his transition to Denver in 2021.
