The Long Island Nets have revealed staff changes and promotions as they prepare for the 2025-26 season, notably appointing Kyle Hines as the new assistant general manager.
Hines, a 39-year-old former professional player, became part of the Nets organization at the start of the 2024-25 season, taking on the role of player development assistant with the Brooklyn Nets. In his second consecutive season, he is now transitioning to the G League affiliate to serve as assistant general manager alongside Kory Jones.
Before his tenure in the NBA, Hines spent 14 seasons in Europe, competing in the EuroLeague and making 425 appearances. His illustrious career includes four championships—two with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, and another pair with CSKA in 2016 and 2019. Recently, he was honored as a member of the All-25 EuroLeague Team in recognition of the league’s 25th anniversary.
Kory Jones, an NCAA player from Arizona, is set to enter his sixth season with the Nets. He has held various roles within the organization, including basketball operations assistant, scouting associate, basketball operations coordinator, as well as director of player engagement and basketball operations.
Khalif Wyatt, the former director of player development at Temple and a player in the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League, has now taken on the role of head video coordinator/player development for the Long Island Nets. He joins head coach Mfon Udofia’s staff, which includes associate head coach Shawn Swords and assistant coach Jorge Gutierrez. Additionally, Thomas Bridges and Steven Kaner have been appointed as assistant coaches.
The G League schedule for the 2025-26 season is set to kick off in early November.
