The Long Island Nets have announced several staff changes and promotions as they prepare for the 2025-26 season, which includes the appointment of Kyle Hines as assistant general manager.
Hines, a 39-year-old former player, joined the Nets organization at the beginning of the 2024-25 season as a player development assistant with the Brooklyn Nets. Now in his second consecutive season, he transitions to the G League affiliate, where he will serve alongside Kory Jones as assistant general manager.
The majority of Hines’ playing career was spent in Europe, where he participated in 14 EuroLeague seasons, making 425 appearances. His illustrious career includes four EuroLeague championships: two with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, and another two with CSKA Moscow in 2016 and 2019. Last season, he was honored as a member of the All-25 EuroLeague Team in recognition of the league’s 25th anniversary.
Kory Jones, who played at Arizona, is now entering his sixth season with the Nets. Over the years, he has held various roles within the organization, including basketball operations assistant, scout, operations coordinator, and director of player engagement and basketball operations.
Khalif Wyatt, a 34-year-old who previously served as Temple’s director of player development and played in the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League, has taken on the role of head video coordinator and player development for the Long Island Nets. He will work under head coach Mfon Udofia, alongside associate head coach Shawn Swords and assistant coach Jorge Gutierrez. Additionally, Thomas Bridges and Steven Kaner have been named as assistant coaches.
The G League’s 2025-26 season will kick off in early November.
