Kyle Hines Steps Up as Assistant General Manager for Long Island Nets Ahead of 2025-26 Season

The Long Island Nets have revealed staff changes and promotions as they prepare for the 2025-26 season, with former player Kyle Hines appointed as assistant general manager.

At 39 years old, Hines joined the Nets organization prior to the 2024-25 season, taking on the role of player development assistant for the Brooklyn Nets. As he embarks on his second season, he transitions to the G League affiliate, partnering with Kory Jones in his new position.

Hines’ professional career largely took place in Europe, where he amassed 425 appearances over 14 seasons in the EuroLeague. His illustrious career includes four championships—two with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, and two with CSKA Moscow in 2016 and 2019. Last year, in honor of the 25th anniversary of Europe’s top club competition, the New Jersey native and UNC Greensboro alum was recognized as a member of the All-25 EuroLeague Team.

Kory Jones, an NCAA player from Arizona, is entering his sixth season with the Nets. He has held various positions within the organization, including basketball operations assistant, basketball operations scouting associate, basketball operations coordinator, manager of player engagement and basketball operations, and director of player engagement and basketball operations.

Khalif Wyatt, who previously served as director of player development at Temple and played in the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League, has been appointed head video coordinator/player development for the Long Island Nets. He will work under head coach Mfon Udofia, alongside associate head coach Shawn Swords and assistant coach Jorge Gutierrez. Additionally, Thomas Bridges and Steven Kaner have been appointed as assistant coaches.

The G League season for 2025-26 is set to commence in early November.
