Kyle Hines Steps Up as Assistant General Manager for Long Island Nets Ahead of 2025-26 Season

The Long Island Nets have revealed new staff positions and promotions as they prepare for the 2025-26 season, notably appointing Kyle Hines as the assistant general manager.

Hines, 39, transitioned to the Nets organization prior to the 2024-25 season, taking on the role of player development assistant for the Brooklyn Nets. Now entering his second consecutive season, he will move up to the G League affiliate, working alongside Kory Jones as assistant general manager.

Before his career in the NBA, Hines made a significant impact in Europe, competing in the EuroLeague for 14 seasons and participating in 425 games. Throughout his prestigious career, he achieved four championships—two with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, and another two with CSKA Moscow in 2016 and 2019. Last season, he was honored as a member of the All-25 EuroLeague Team during the celebration of the league’s 25th anniversary, showcasing his contributions as a UNC Greensboro alum and New Jersey native.

Kory Jones, an NCAA athlete from Arizona, is entering his sixth season with the Nets. His previous roles have included basketball operations assistant, basketball operations scouting associate, basketball operations coordinator, manager of player engagement and basketball operations, and director of player engagement and basketball operations.

Khalif Wyatt, aged 34, was recently appointed as the head video coordinator/player development within the Long Island Nets, following two years as the director of player development at Temple and his participation in the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League. He will work under head coach Mfon Udofia, alongside associate head coach Shawn Swords and assistant coach Jorge Gutierrez. Additionally, Thomas Bridges and Steven Kaner have been named assistant coaches.

The G League’s 2025-26 schedule is set to commence in early November.
