“Actually, I was at Pick’n Save, right?” Giannis began. “While I was checking out my groceries, I noticed a man trying to steal a purse from a woman,” he explained after the game against the Kings. “So I said, ‘Hey man, what are you doing? Stop that,’” he joked. “I grabbed him, and he turned and elbowed me in the eye,” he told the reporter. “But I managed to subdue him, got him on the floor, took the purse, and returned it to the lady… and she was safe,” continued the Greek star.
“I even covered her groceries because she was in shock,” he said with a laugh. “Then the police showed up and took the guy away. After that, I just went back home.”
