“Believe it or not, I was at Pick’n Save, right?” Giannis began. “While I was paying for my groceries, I noticed a guy trying to snatch a purse from a woman,” he recounted after the game against the Kings. “So I said, ‘Hey man, what do you think you’re doing? Stop!’” he explained to the reporters. “I reached out to him, but he gave me a bit of an elbow to the eye,” the player shared. “I managed to take him down, retrieved the purse, and returned it to the lady… ensuring she was safe,” the Greek player continued.

“I even paid for her groceries, since she was pretty shaken up,” he added with a laugh. “Then the police arrived and took care of the guy. After that, I just headed back home.”
