The Milwaukee Bucks faced defeat at the hands of the Sacramento Kings, but not before an outstanding display by Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Greek forward delivered an impressive performance, scoring 29 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists—all while having just had a run-in with a crime.
Following the game, Giannis addressed the media from the locker room, recounting a tale involving his black eye and some thrilling incidents, including grocery shopping, a confrontation, and a woman’s handbag.

“I was at Pick’n Save, you know?” Giannis began. “As I was paying for my groceries, I noticed a guy trying to steal a purse from a woman,” he recounted after the match with the Kings. “So I said, ‘Hey man, what are you doing? Stop,’” he detailed to the reporters. “I grabbed him, but he swung around and got me in the eye with his elbow,” he said. “But then I took him down, retrieved the purse, and returned it to the lady… and she was safe,” the Greek player continued.
“I even paid for her groceries since she was pretty shaken up,” he added with a laugh. “Then the police arrived and took the guy away. After that, I just headed home.”
