After facing several challenges in recent months, including an early exit from Serbia’s senior national team during EuroBasket due to a hamstring injury and a back issue that hindered his start to the NBA Preseason in 2025, Bogdan Bogdanovic has encountered difficulties at the outset of the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 33-year-old Serbian guard has only participated in two games under the guidance of coach Tyronn Lue. Over 33 minutes on the court, he has managed just two points with a shooting percentage of 1/9, in addition to averaging 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
In a media briefing after practice on Tuesday, Lue, 48, addressed Bogdanovic’s slow start, saying, “We’re here for you. Take your time to find your rhythm, regain your legs, and build your conditioning. We’re committed to supporting you through this process.” He also mentioned the similar situation with teammate Bradley Beal, urging Bogdanovic not to become disheartened.
A seasoned player with 540 appearances in the league, Bogdanovic was traded to the Clippers last February. Prior to that, he spent five years with the Atlanta Hawks and three seasons with the Sacramento Kings. Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2014 with the 27th overall pick, he made his NBA debut three years later. Before joining the NBA, he achieved EuroLeague champion status with Fenerbahce in 2017.
Currently, the Clippers hold a 3-2 record in the early stages of the Regular Season, placing them fifth in the Western Conference, three games behind the undefeated Oklahoma City Thunder. They are set to play in back-to-back games against the Miami Heat on Monday and the Thunder on Tuesday at Intuit Dome.
