Over the past few months, Bogdan Bogdanovic has faced a series of challenges, including his premature exit from the Serbian national team during EuroBasket due to a hamstring injury, followed by a back injury at the start of the 2025 NBA Preseason. Consequently, he has encountered difficulties in the early stages of the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 33-year-old Serbian shooting guard has only made two appearances for head coach Tyronn Lue’s team. Across 33 minutes of play, he managed to score just two points with a shooting percentage of 1/9, while averaging 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
“We’ll wait for you. Just take your time to regain your rhythm, get your legs back under you, and improve your conditioning. We’re not going to abandon you, no matter what,” Lue stated during a media session after Tuesday’s practice, acknowledging the slow starts by both Bogdanovic and Bradley Beal in the wake of their injuries. “Just be patient with yourself and avoid frustration.”
With 540 games of experience in the league, Bogdanovic joined the Clippers in a trade last February. Prior to that, he spent five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and previously played with the Sacramento Kings for three years. In 2014, three years prior to his NBA debut, he was selected by the Phoenix Suns as the 27th overall pick in the draft. While at Fenerbahce from 2014 to 2017, he achieved the title of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion in his final season there.
Currently, the Clippers hold a 3-2 record early in the Regular Season, placing them fifth in the Western Conference standings, three games behind the undefeated Oklahoma City Thunder. They are set to face off against the Miami Heat on Monday and the Thunder on Tuesday at the Intuit Dome in a back-to-back series.
