Sengun Shines with 26-Point Double-Double, Leads Rockets to Victory Over Mavericks

Alperen Sengun delivered an impressive performance with 26 points and 11 rebounds, achieving a double-double that led the Houston Rockets to a 110-102 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at the Toyota Center. Playing for nearly 40 minutes on Monday, Sengun clinched the win with a crucial basket with just 1:30 left in the final quarter, finishing the night with 10 successful shots out of 22 attempts, including 10 out of 20 two-pointers. He also contributed six assists and recorded one steal.

Reflecting on their early losses, the 23-year-old Turkish center stated, “We lost two tightly contested games at the start. Now we understand who should have the ball in crucial moments. We’re learning and adapting. There’s plenty of time ahead. With new additions, including KD, our dynamics have shifted. We need to work things out, and it will only get smoother for us.” This win improved their record to 4-2 in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season, marking their fourth consecutive victory.

Coming off the bench for the Rockets, Swiss Clint Capela contributed with four points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
