The Mikal Bridges blockbuster deal which sent him across town from the Nets to the Knicks was officially completed on Saturday night.
Bridges spent just a year and a half in Brooklyn but he was quickly embraced by the fanbase after being acquired as one of the main pieces in the Kevin Durant trade with the Phoenix Suns.
The 27-year-old was tremendous down the stretch during his first year with the team as he finished fourth in Most Improved Player voting after averaging 26.1 points and shooting 48 percent from the field in 27 games.
Bridges had a bit of a disappointing campaign last year but he still finished his time with Brooklyn averaging 21.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field.
He’ll now look to turn things around as he reunites with his former college teammates Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo on the other side of town.
Before he completely turns the page to this new chapter, though, the former first-round pick took some time to thank the Brooklyn faithful for their endless support along the way…
