Knicks sign Ariel Hukporti to two-way contract

The Knicks have signed Ariel Hukporti to a two-way contract.

Hukporti, 22, was a second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Knicks acquired the No. 58 overall pick from the Dallas Mavericks.

A 6-foot-11 center from Germany who most recently played for the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the sport’s highest-level professional league in Germany, Hukporti averaged 5.0 points and 6.3 rebounds in 14.3 minutes over three games (two starts) with MHP Riesen.

Previously, Hukporti spent parts of the 2023-24 season with Australia’s National Basketball League. In 18.4 minutes over 28 games for Melbourne United, Hukporti averaged 8.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. Through two seasons with Melbourne, Hukporti averaged 7.8 points and 6.0 rebounds over 16.8 minutes in 55 games.
