KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There are high expectations in Lawrence once again after the Kansas Jayhawks had a strong offseason.
With the return of their top scorer in Hunter Dickinson, landing a productive haul of transfers and two players in the top 35 of the 2024 recruiting class, the Jayhawks are expected to be one of the best teams in the country.

The Jayhawks announced their nonconference schedule on Thursday, and per usual, they will be tested plenty before conference play.
Here’s a look at their 2024-25 nonconference schedule:
Oct. 29 – vs. Washburn (exhibition)
Nov. 4 vs. Howard
Nov. 8 vs. North Carolina
Nov. 12 vs. Michigan State (Champions Classic in Atlanta)
Nov. 16 vs. Oakland
Nov. 19 vs. UNC Wilmington
Nov. 26 vs. Duke (Vegas Showdown)
Nov. 30 vs. Furman
Dec. 4 at Creighton
Dec. 8 at Mizzou
Dec. 14 vs. NC State
Dec. 22 vs. Brown
The Jayhawks have what looks like a gauntlet of a nonconference schedule. They’re slate is loaded with blue bloods as they face Michigan State, Duke and North Carolina.
It will be the 13th straight year that Kansas plays in the Champions Classic.

They also will travel to Columbia and face Mizzou for the fourth straight year in their renewed Border War rivalry. They also have what tough matchups on the road against Creighton and at home against NC State.
Kansas will be more than battle-tested for a loaded Big 12 Conference.
They will kick off their season with Late Night in the Phog on Oct. 18.
