What channel is Kentucky TBT team on? How to watch La Familia in The Basketball Tournament

LEXINGTON — Tyler Ulis laughed at the possibility. After Sunday’s 81-64 victory over The Nawf, Ulis, the coach of La Familia, was asked whether his team could play any better than it had in the first two games of The Basketball Tournament.

“I hope we didn’t hit our peak in the second game,” Ulis said with a chuckle. “But I just feel like when these guys give the effort and energy, we have the skill, we have the talent. When they give 110% and do what they did in the second half, we’re gonna be hard to beat. Obviously everyone is here for the same reason, and we’re just going to keep fighting.”

Kerem Kanter has led the way so far for the Kentucky basketball alumni team, pacing the club in points (23.5) and rebounds (10.5) per game.

“We have so many different guys that can do so many things,” Kanter said. “So one day, it could be in the paint, another day it could be dribble drive (or) 3s. We’re a versatile team.”

The group of former Wildcats won’t have much margin for error Tuesday, when they face Herd That for a spot in the TBT quarterfinals. Herd That, a team of Marshall alums, reached the TBT semifinals last year.

“I just want to focus on our guys,” Ulis said. “If we do what we need to do, I feel like it’ll be hard to beat us.

“We’re gonna go back to the drawing board and see what we gotta do.”
