Potomac State men fall at Prince George’s

Oct. 9—LARGO — WVU Potomac State College was outshot 22-3 on Tuesday, falling 4-0 at Prince George’s.

Muhammad Sallah gave the Owls (6-2-3) an early lead off a Shane Lopez Haddia assist at the 4:25 mark of the first half.

In the second half, Prince George’s added three more scores.

Jerson Chirino scored off an assist by Frank Olom, Zico Tesheira scored unassisted and Osenose Ibhagui scored off a Messi Morales setup.

The Owls outshot the Catamounts (2-8) in the first half 9-0 and 13-4 in the second half.

Prince George’s finished with a 6-1 lead in corner kicks.

Jairo Caceres saved three shots for the Owls while Ngonya Tajong added one save.

Allegany graduate Peyton Thomassy earned a pair of saves for the Catamounts.

Potomac State heads to Frederick on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
