Michigan State basketball continues to remain safely in the field of 68 in ESPN’s NCAA Tournament bracket projections.
Joe Lunardi of ESPN released an updated batch of Bracketology on Tuesday, and Michigan State held the same spot as the last update. The Spartans are a No. 7 seed in the South Region in Lunardi’s latest bracket. Michigan State is projected to face No. 10 seed Ole Miss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Michigan State is one of 10 teams from the Big Ten in Lunardi’s latest bracket projection. Only Purdue (No. 4 seed), Indiana (No. 6 seed), UCLA (No. 6 seed) and Illinois (No. 6 seed) are higher than the Spartans on the seeds line from the Big Ten.
Michigan State will officially tip off the 2024-25 season in a few weeks in a home matchup against Monmouth on Nov. 4. The Spartans have one more exhibition game against Ferris State next week before the regular season begins as well.
