College basketball rankings: Big 12 teams in preseason Coaches Poll

One of college basketball’s top conferences is well represented in the preseason USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll on Wednesday.

Kansas, led by Hunter Dickinson and highly touted Wisconsin transfer AJ Storr, was selected No. 1 in the preseason poll, with Houston, Iowa State, Baylor and Arizona being ranked inside the top 10.

The Big 12 was already a gauntlet before, but after adding Houston, UCF, BYU and Cincinnati before last season and Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado for this season, the conference slate is projected to be among the toughest in the nation in 2024-25.
