Where is Auburn basketball ranked in USA TODAY Sports Preseason Coaches Poll?

Auburn basketball is ranked No. 11 in the USA Today Sports Preseason Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, which was released Wednesday.

It’s the latest high expectation for the Tigers coming into the 2024-25 season. The SEC coaches picked Auburn to finish second in the SEC behind instate rival Alabama, the only SEC team above them in the rankings. Johni Broome was named an All-SEC first-team selection, and Chad Baker-Mazara earned third-team honors.

The Tigers are coming off an up-and-down 2023-24 season, winning the SEC Tournament after they finished sixth in conference standings. The Tigers were upset by Yale in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. They finished the year 27-8.
