Indiana basketball will play Kansas in Las Vegas as part of 2027 Hall of Fame Series

BLOOMINGTON — The Indiana basketball team will face Kansas as part of the 2027 Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The event will be a doubleheader that will also include a game between Arizona and Duke.

It will be a trial run of sorts for the venue with it scheduled to host the 2028 NCAA Men’s Final Four later that season. The games will air on TNT Sports’ networks with additional details to be announced at a later date.

“We are excited to play in such a prestigious event,” Indiana coach Mike Woodson said, in a statement. “I look forward to testing our ballclub that early in the season against a high-level opponent like Kansas. Our staff has always prioritized playing the best competition out there and getting this opportunity in Allegiant Stadium should be a lot of fun for both the program and the fan base.”

It will be the 17th all-time meeting between the programs, a series that’s tied 8-8 after Kansas beat IU 75-71 in Bloomington last season.

The only other games Indiana currently has scheduled in future seasons is a four-game series against Kentucky that will run from 2025-29. The 2026-27 game will be at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Wildcats are hosting the other three.
