Following travel complications that caused a one-hour delay to the game start at Fiserv Forum, the Milwaukee Bucks convincingly defeated the Miami Heat, 125-96, on Thursday night.
With this victory marking their fifth straight win of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered an impressive performance, recording 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in just under 32 minutes of play.
The Bucks encountered difficulties departing from New Orleans due to a heavy snowstorm but managed to arrive in Milwaukee three hours prior to the game.
“This isn’t the most challenging situation I’ve faced while playing basketball. The only difference today was having to catch a flight. Ultimately, overcoming this adversity, our team responded incredibly well,” the Greek superstar remarked about maintaining focus. “We started our day in a five-star hotel, enjoyed breakfast, and spent time discussing as a team while we waited for our bus. The bus ride was pleasant, and then we boarded our private charter plane, where everyone had their own seat and could order food and drinks.”
On the other hand, Pelle Larsson from Sweden made his first NBA start but saw limited action, playing just 13 minutes with a shooting performance of 1-for-5. “I’m thankful for the chance, but it didn’t last very long,” he reflected, having contributed four points and five rebounds. “I hope for more opportunities in the future.”
Serbian Nikola Jovic came off the bench and played nearly 22 minutes, finishing with eight points, two assists, and two rebounds.
