ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)— Jalen Suggs is facing an indefinite absence due to a left knee injury, adding to the challenges of what initially appeared to be a promising season for the young Orlando guard.
On Friday, the Magic reported that Suggs has a trochlea injury, which was identified after he felt discomfort while attempting to recover from a bruised left quadriceps that had already kept him out for a month.
This season, Suggs has been averaging 16.2 points but has only participated in 35 games. The 2021 NBA Draft’s No. 4 overall pick missed 10 games in January due to a low back strain and has not played in the last 14 games because of the quadriceps issue.
The Magic indicated that a treatment plan is in the works, and they anticipate a full recovery.
