Joel Embiid has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, casting a shadow over the prospects of the Philadelphia 76ers. Nevertheless, the team is determined to fight back.
With the exceptional Quentin Grimes leading the way, the 76ers secured a home victory against the Golden State Warriors, winning 126-119. Guerschon Yabusele also made significant contributions to the win.
The French athlete tallied 18 points, collected six rebounds, and provided five assists, including a crucial three-pointer in the closing moments that helped seal the win. The ex-Real Madrid player made an impressive 5 of 7 from three-point range, but Grimes was the standout performer, notching a personal best of 44 points.

On the Warriors’ side, Steph Curry delivered a strong performance with 29 points and 13 assists, while Dutch player Quinten Post contributed 16 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn’t sufficient to overcome the 76ers.
In addition to Yabusele, several other French players excelled that night, as Bilal Coulibaly propelled the Washington Wizards to a 113-100 away victory against the Charlotte Hornets, scoring 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. His fellow countryman Alex Sarr added 10 points, and KyShawn George chipped in with eight points and eight boards. Two other French players appeared for the losing Hornets, but had little impact; Moussa Diabate managed four points, and Tidjane Salaun did not score.
Killian Hayes is still vying for a spot with the Brooklyn Nets but only managed four points, four rebounds, and three assists in a 115-94 defeat to the Detroit Pistons. Dennis Schröder provided seven points and five assists for the victorious Pistons.
De’Aaron Fox propelled the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling 130-128 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring the decisive points with just 1.8 seconds left on the clock. Meanwhile, Polish international Jeremy Sochan recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Santi Aldama also put on a strong performance for the Grizzlies, finishing just two rebounds shy of a triple-double, with 15 points and 11 assists.
In other notable games, Giannis Antetokounmpo came close to a triple-double in his team’s win against Dallas, while Jonas Valančiūnas emerged triumphant over Alperen Şengün, and Domantas Sabonis suffered an injury.
