LeBron James reached the monumental milestone of 50,000 career points, as the Los Angeles Lakers triumphed over the New Orleans Pelicans with a score of 136-115 at Crypto.com Arena.
In doing so, he became the first player ever to amass 50,000 points when combining both the Regular Season and Playoffs of the NBA, with Luka Doncic assisting him on a three-pointer that helped him achieve this landmark early in the first quarter.
“It’s incredible. Watching him accomplish this at his age is simply astounding,” Doncic said in response to the legendary four-time NBA champion’s latest milestone.

Having recovered from a right knee bruise in time for Tuesday’s game, the Slovenian sensation posted an impressive line of 30 points, 15 assists, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. “I’m still finding my rhythm,” he commented regarding his adaptation to the Lakers during a postgame press gathering. “Ultimately, it’s about securing victories, and we are achieving that now—we cannot afford to let up.”
On the bench, coach JJ Redick faced some challenges as Ukrainian Alex Len managed only four ineffective minutes, while German Maxi Kleber remained out due to right foot surgery. For the visiting Pelicans, Croatian Karlo Matkovic played just under 18 minutes, contributing five points, four rebounds, three assists, and one block.
In other news, Turkish player Alperen Sengun, who has been dealing with lower back pain, made his return, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Unfortunately, his efforts weren’t enough to help the Houston Rockets avoid a 115-102 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Meanwhile, Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic, dealing with a right calf strain, sat out as the Chicago Bulls fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 139-117 at the United Center. Lithuanian Matas Buzelis had a solid outing, finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and one block.
