Los Angeles Lakers’ forward LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers’ guard Donovan Mitchell have been recognized as the Kia NBA Players of the Month for February’s games.

In the Western Conference, James led the Lakers to an impressive 10-2 mark, contributing with an average of 29.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. After celebrating his 40th birthday in December, LeBron becomes the oldest athlete to receive a Player of the Month award, surpassing the previous record held by Karl Malone (who was 37) with the Utah Jazz in November 2000.

For the Eastern Conference, Mitchell guided the Cavaliers to a remarkable 10-1 record, averaging 25.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. He consistently scored over 20 points in eight out of ten games, which included four performances exceeding 30 points, highlighted by a season-high 41 points in a thrilling comeback against the Boston Celtics on February 28, where the Cavaliers overcame a 22-point deficit.

Isaiah Collier of the Utah Jazz and Zaccharie Risacher of the Atlanta Hawks have been awarded the Kia NBA Rookies of the Month for their performances in February.

In the Western Conference, Collier registered averages of 11.5 points, 9.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds. His impressive 9.5 assists per game led all rookies and ranked fourth among all NBA players for February. He also achieved six point-assist double-doubles, tying for the third-highest total in the league.

In the Eastern Conference, Risacher averaged 12.8 points, making him the second-highest scorer among rookies in the Eastern Conference and third overall. He added 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, scoring over 10 points in 10 out of 12 contests – the most by an Eastern Conference rookie for the month and tied for the highest by any rookie. Risacher placed second in total points (153), third in total field goals (55), and second in total made 3-pointers (22) among all first-year players.

Toumani Camara from the Portland Trail Blazers and Evan Mobley from the Cleveland Cavaliers have been honored as the Kia NBA Defensive Players of the Month for February.

In the Western Conference, Camara distinguished himself as the only player in the NBA to achieve over 80 rebounds, 20 steals, and 10 blocks during February. Leading the league in charges taken with a season total of 25, he recorded four charges in February, tying for the highest in the league. His 24 steals (2.0 steals per game) during the month also ranked fifth in the NBA. Over the season, Camara has posted at least one steal in 50 games, which is tied for second-most in the league.

In the Eastern Conference, Mobley is the inaugural player to win this monthly honor twice, having also earned the Defensive Player of the Month award in December 2024. His tally of 25 blocks was tied for the most in the conference, complemented by seven multi-block games (second in the East), five games with three or more blocks (the most in the East), and three contests with at least four blocks (tied for the most in the NBA).

Mark Daigneault of the Oklahoma City Thunder and J.B. Bickerstaff of the Detroit Pistons have been honored as the NBA Coaches of the Month for February.

In the Western Conference, Daigneault has earned his second Coach of the Month award after leading the Thunder to an impressive 11-2 record in February. Garnering the title of 2023-24 NBA Coach of the Year, he has guided the Thunder to their fourth consecutive month with more than ten wins. The team averaged 127.7 points per game, boasting a 15.2 net rating and a 124.8 offensive rating, all of which ranked best in the Western Conference.
In the Eastern Conference, Bickerstaff, in his debut season with the Pistons, steered the team to a 9-3 record, including an undefeated 4-0 mark on the road. Detroit enjoyed an eight-game winning streak, their longest since the 2007-08 season, averaging 123.7 points per game with a shooting percentage of 49.8% from the field and 37% from beyond the arc. Notably, six of Detroit’s nine victories were by double digits, with four wins by over 15 points.
