Kicking off the NBA Sunday lineup, the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a decisive victory, defeating the Denver Nuggets 127-103 at the Paycom Center.
Nikola Jokic, who was dealing with left ankle inflammation and categorized as probable, was cleared to play. However, he also had to manage a right elbow injury sustained early in the game.
The Serbian star scored 24 points, shooting 10 out of 23 from the floor. He pulled down 13 rebounds, achieving a double-double but just missing out on a triple-double with his nine assists. Throughout his 41 minutes on the court, he also registered three blocks and one steal.
Vlatko Cancar made his return after being cleared to play for the Nuggets, coming off the bench for the final 73 seconds. He had previously undergone arthroscopic knee surgery early in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season. In contrast, Dario Saric did not make an appearance for the team led by coach Michael Malone.
