As the Denver Nuggets get ready to face the Milwaukee Bucks at Ball Arena, Nikola Jokic has been officially designated as doubtful for Wednesday’s game.
The Serbian star has missed the last five games of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season due to a left ankle impingement. Even though he is now listed as doubtful, it is anticipated that he will be sidelined for at least one additional game.
Before kicking off a five-game homestand following a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday, head coach Michael Malone expressed optimism that Jokic would be back on the court during this upcoming stretch. Following the matchup against the Bucks, the Nuggets will go on to host the Utah Jazz on Friday, the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, and the San Antonio Spurs next Wednesday.
On the other side, the Bucks have officially classified Giannis Antetokounmpo as questionable because of a left foot sprain, while Damian Lillard has been ruled out indefinitely due to a right calf deep vein thrombosis. The injury list for Coach Doc Rivers’ squad also includes Bobby Portis Jr. (suspended by the league) and Jericho Sims (right thumb UCL sprain).
The Nuggets’ injury report also lists Daron Holmes II (right Achilles tendon repair) and Julian Strawther (left knee sprain) as out, while Aaron Gordon (right calf injury management / left ankle sprain) is questionable, and Christian Braun (left foot strain) is probable.
Currently, the Nuggets hold the third spot in the Western Conference with a 45-28 record, whereas the Bucks rank fifth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 40-31.
