Headline: Lakers Focus on Building Chemistry Among Doncic, James, and Reaves Ahead of Crucial Playoff Push

Prior to the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum, head coach JJ Redick discussed the challenges faced during the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season. Slovenian star Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves were present for the team meeting.

“We urged all three players to approach their three-man plays with increased intensity, energy, and inventiveness,” explained the 40-year-old coach regarding the discussion topics.

Reaves commented, “The meeting aimed to foster better chemistry among the three of us to ensure the team’s success. Tonight’s game demonstrated that when we play correctly and rely on each other, we can generate open shots nearly every time down the court.”

Reflecting on the discussion, the 26-year-old guard remarked, “It was fundamentally a talk about our collective desire to win and compete at a high level,” following the most recent NBA Saturdays matchup.

With their victory, Redick’s team improved to a record of 45-29, securing a tiebreaker edge and a one-game lead over the Grizzlies in the race for the fourth seed in the Western Conference for the 2025 Playoffs presented by Google. The Denver Nuggets, currently in third place, are 1.5 games ahead.

As the Regular Season winds down with just eight games remaining, the Lakers will commence a three-game homestand, beginning with a matchup against the Houston Rockets at crypto.com Arena on Monday. They will then face the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
