Jordi Fernandez Advocates for Unity in NBA European League: Preserving Identity While Innovating for Fans

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, along with FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, has recently announced plans to establish an NBA European League.

Jordi Fernandez, head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, shared his insights regarding this exciting initiative.

“The essence of European basketball holds great significance, just like the essence of basketball here. It’s something that must be preserved. Both basketball styles are outstanding, and it’s crucial to maintain them while also allowing for evolution and innovation,” stated Fernandez.

The Spanish coach underscored the importance of collaboration in this endeavor.

“The ideal situation involves everyone coming together to discuss and design what’s best for the fans. If everyone has a seat at the table, we can collectively create the best possible league that will enhance the fan experience and deliver a superior product compared to what we currently offer,” Fernandez concluded.
