Unlock Your Championship Potential: Top 6 Waiver Wire Picks for NBA Fantasy Week 24!

Next week, every team except for six will compete in four games each, creating numerous streaming opportunities for fantasy managers looking to enhance their lineups as they aim for a championship. Below are six players to consider adding, who remain widely available in most Yahoo leagues.

Aldama has been utilized off the bench in his last four outings for the Grizzlies, having fluctuated between starting and coming off the bench all season long, demonstrating effectiveness in both capacities. As a starter, he has recorded averages of 12.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.2 three-pointers per game. In a bench role, his stats rise to 13.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.1 three-pointers.

With playoff positioning still up for grabs, Aldama is likely to participate in all four of the Grizzlies’ games next week. Three of their opponents are in the lower tiers of the league’s defensive ratings. While he may not shine with major highlights, expect Aldama to deliver consistent contributions.

The 76ers are grappling with injuries and will finish the season without Joel Embiid (knee), Tyrese Maxey (finger), and Paul George (groin). Although Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) has yet to be officially ruled out for the year, he hasn’t played since March 12. As a result, the 76ers will likely continue to allocate increased minutes to their younger players.

Edwards has been logging considerable playing time due to the 76ers’ depleted roster, averaging 34 minutes over the past 10 games. He has posted averages of 16.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.4 three-pointers during this stretch. With four games scheduled next week, three against teams with poor defensive records (the Wizards, Hawks, and Bulls), Edwards offers substantial scoring potential.

Although the Bulls have secured a place in the Play-In Tournament, they have much at stake as they can potentially rise to the seventh seed or fall to tenth. Given their struggles to escape the Play-In Tournament in prior seasons, they are eager to ascend the rankings for a better chance to advance, preferably on their home court.

Buzelis is a key contributor to their late-season surge, having started the last 25 games and averaging 27 minutes on the court. As he has adapted to his starting role, he has averaged 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 2.3 three-pointers in the last 10 games. Among the Bulls’ four upcoming games, two are against tanking opponents, the Wizards and 76ers, making Buzelis an enticing option on the waiver wire.

The Pelicans are also suffering from injuries to key players. Zion Williamson (back) and CJ McCollum (foot) have both been ruled out for the season, joining other injured players like Dejounte Murray (Achilles) and Trey Murphy III (shoulder). This situation creates opportunities for their younger talents to take on significant responsibilities for the remainder of the season.

Missi has been the primary center for the Pelicans for much of this season and has stayed relatively healthy recently. Over his last 11 games, he has averaged 10.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in about 26 minutes per game, while shooting 54.5% from the field. With four games scheduled next week, he presents an appealing target for fantasy managers in need of a center.

Considering the 76ers’ roster depletion and their favorable schedule ahead, Edwards isn’t the only player to target. Butler has also seen increased playing time recently, averaging 29 minutes over the last 15 games, leading to averages of 12.5 points, 5.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.1 three-pointers. He is expected to maintain a significant role moving forward and could see additional minutes if Quentin Grimes is sidelined again, having missed two of the last six games for rest.

The Nets have also been plagued by injuries, with Cameron Johnson (back) becoming the latest player to be sidelined. He has not participated in the last two games, and given the Nets’ position in the standings, it’s uncertain if he’ll return this season. D’Angelo Russell (knee) has also been in and out of the lineup.

As the Nets conclude their season, Keon Johnson has started all of their last 11 games, averaging 28 minutes during this period. He has made the most of his increased role, averaging 14.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.5 three-pointers. The Nets have four games on the schedule next week, including two against teams with weak defensive capabilities in the Pelicans and Hawks. While Johnson may have inconsistencies in his efficiency, he is certainly worth considering in deeper leagues.
